Inspired by the moving works of Rajeev Ravi, Vittorio Storaro, and Ron Fricke, Ankit started his journey by filming non-fiction content across India later diversifying into shooting commercials, music videos, long format narratives and now, feature films too. 

 

His lens has captured a multitude of stories...from hard-hitting documentaries to high-gloss travel and lifestyle shows for platforms like Amazon Prime Video, VICE, Discovery Channel, Nat Geo, RedBullTV, MTV, and MX. He has also been the go-to man for international jobs of filming human-interest stories that require as much craft as humane sensibilities having shot in countries such as Afghanistan, Nepal, Thailand, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and Scotland. 

 

He has collaborated on fiction and non-fiction series for streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Sony TV India and has shot Digital and TV spots for brands like SBI, Knorr, L&T, Adidas, Platinum, Pernod Ricard, Bosch, Ford, Paytm, Ekaya to name a few. 

 

He has been nominated for "Best Cinematography" at the Asian Television Academy Awards and some of the projects he is associated with have been nominated/won at Asian Academy Creative Awards, Asian Television Awards, Tribeca X, Webbys, Digiday, Digipub, iReel, CCSSA and Filmfare.

 

Recently, He was the Series DOP for a ground breaking LGBTQIA+ focused documentary series, "Rainbow Rishta" streaming on Amazon Prime Video and the 2nd unit DOP for a Bollywood feature film, "Chhatriwali" streaming on ZEE5.
